JASSUB / WASM source and license material — 2026-10-25 Renderer: JASSUB 2.5.18 Upstream: https://github.com/ThaUnknown/jassub Source commit: b78bc67194d4b63fab8bf82db54be8cec31fa207 JASSUB and JavascriptSubtitlesOctopus contributors provide the JavaScript SDK and wrapper under the license in JASSUB's LICENSE. That single MIT file does not describe the whole native WASM bundle. The original npm package declares: LGPL-2.1-or-later AND (FTL OR GPL-2.0-or-later) AND MIT AND MIT-Modern-Variant AND ISC AND NTP AND Zlib AND BSL-1.0 The original declarations and complete source notices are preserved. Component license references below identify the main texts, not an assertion that every file in a complete upstream archive uses one license or is in the binary: JASSUB: LICENSE; individual source headers libass: COPYING (ISC); individual source headers FriBidi: COPYING (GNU Lesser General Public License 2.1); source headers FreeType: LICENSE.TXT, docs/FTL.TXT, docs/GPLv2.TXT; per-file notices HarfBuzz: COPYING, subdirectory COPYING files; source headers Brotli: LICENSE; source headers DLG: LICENSE (Boost Software License 1.0) Emscripten: LICENSE, AUTHORS; system library notices and source headers FreeType is distributed through the FTL path. Both original FTL/GPLv2 texts are retained; separately licensed files retain their own terms. This software is based in part on the work of the FreeType Team: https://freetype.org . The unmodified upstream patch files for FreeType and HarfBuzz are included in the JASSUB source archive and are described in BUILD-AND-REPLACE.md. No additional native source change has been made by this project. The two distributed WASM files are the npm originals. All collected full notice files appear in LICENSE-TEXTS.txt. Additional leading copyright/license comments appear in SOURCE-HEADERS.txt. Complete files, remaining notices, and exact paths are in the original archives. Emscripten test submodule archives are included for snapshot completeness; they do not imply those test programs are compiled into the renderer. BUILD-AND-REPLACE.md documents restoration, the upstream build route, the site's SDK bundling and compatible replacement. No additional restriction on library modification or reverse engineering to debug library modifications is imposed by this material. Each upstream license continues to apply to its own code. This material does not set or change the license of the site's own source. Native C/C++ recompilation was verified on 2026-10-25 with Emscripten 6.0.4 in the recorded Linux ARM64 Docker environment. Both WASM files and the generated glue match npm byte for byte after restoring the documented generated build metadata. See native-rebuild.json and the recipe for scope and limitations. These materials were not publicly deployed during their preparation.
